The Boldness Rub (Two-Pack)

A MAN ON A MEAT-SEEKING MISSION
Throughout my life I've crafted, critiqued, and craved Bold Flavors. After selling out of a few small batches of seasoning that garnered great feedback (and freak-outs when I ran out), I revisited the recipe to move the mandibles of the masses.
If you see the world through your stomach, find peace in the sizzle, and use food as an excuse to feed people you love, then join the flavor fam. Stay Bold.

What’s in The Boldness?
While I’d love to keep it a secret, the FDA requires us to list the ingredients on our label, so the jig is up.
The Boldness contains eight premium ingredients and nothing else: kosher salt, coarse black pepper, granulated garlic, dried oregano, cumin, ancho chile powder, cayenne, and onion powder.
The rub is gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, and soy-free.
No preservatives. No added sugar. No artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives.
If you notice some clumping, that’s totally normal. The Boldness contains zero anti-caking agents, so the spices are free to do what spices do: occasionally stick to each other. A quick shake is all it takes to break it up. This is a tradeoff we gladly make to keep things clean and additive-free. Flavor over freaky stuff, party people.
What should I put The Boldness on?
The Boldness was formulated with red meat in mind, especially beef. Burgers, steaks, roasts, and briskets, are all squarely in The Boldness’s wheelhouse.
It’s great on pork if you’re going for a savory (not sweet) flavor. When I’m making pork chops, tenderloin, ot ribs at home, I like using The Boldness as my seasoning, then finishing with a sweeter sauce for a classic sweet & savory combo.
Many outdoorsmen and women also love using The Boldness on wild game like venison and elk. (Remember, if it’s got hair and hooves, it’s red meat).
But I’m not in the business of making rules. I’ve seen y’all put it on eggs, potatoes, shrimp, chicken…even tofu if you can believe it. You are the master of your flavor dust-iny.
How do you make your seasoning?
We make our seasoning in exceedingly small batches at the Community Commissary in Raleigh, NC. Each batch yields about 50 jars at a time, and we follow the same recipe we’ve been using since the first unofficial batch in 2020.
Since our rub is mixed by hand and contains ingredients with varying granule sizes and weights, you might notice some visual variation between jars, and even within the same jar. If variety is the spice of life, then what’s wrong with a little variety in your spice? It all shakes out in the end, you guys.
Do you sell in bulk?
While our hand-spun, low-key operation is somewhat prohibitive to a true wholesale business model, we’re always open to working out a discounted price for bulk orders of 10 or more jars.
We’d love to be part of your corporate holiday gifting package, your groomsmen’s gifts, your restaurant’s go-to seasoning, your hunt camp's house rub, a “thank you” for your top clients, or sitting on a shelf at your specialty store.
Please email us at eatboldflavors@gmail.com or send us a message via the “Contact” page in the navigation bar to get in touch about bulk seasoning orders.
How do I return a jar if something’s wrong?
If your jar arrives damaged, busted, or in any state less than perfect, shoot us an email at eatboldflavors@gmail.com and we’ll make it right, no questions asked.
We can’t accept returns on opened food products, but we’ll gladly refund or replace anything that doesn’t meet your expectations. The Flavor Fam deserves the best and nothing less.
